New washer and dryer

I needed a new laundry pair and decided to go with Olum's after looking around. The ordering process online was straightforward, I picked out a front load washer and an electric dryer. Delivery was scheduled for about a week out, which was fine. They called the day before to confirm, and the delivery team arrived within the window they gave me. They did the installation and even took away my old set, which was super convenient. Everything has been working perfectly since then. Quality of the appliances seems good, and the whole experience from start to finish was pretty smooth.

Decent sofa, slow delivery

I bought a reclining sofa from Olum's during their Labor Day sale. The price was competitive, and the sofa itself is comfy and seems well-made for the price. However, delivery took almost two weeks, which felt a bit long, especially since I live pretty close to one of their stores. The delivery guys were professional once they arrived and set everything up quickly. The customer service folks were polite when I called to check on the delivery status, but they couldn't really speed things up. Overall, I'm happy with the sofa, just wish the delivery was a little faster.

Got a new fridge

I ordered a French door refrigerator from Olum's a few weeks ago. It came pretty fast, like 5 days to reach Denver. Delivery guys were cool and hooked it up no problem. Super happy with it, looks great in my kitchen.

Good deal on a mattress

I was really looking for the best price on a queen mattress and checked a bunch of places. Olum's had a pretty good mattress sale going on. I got a memory foam one for about 30% off during their Presidents Day sale. It felt like a solid deal compared to what I saw elsewhere. Paid online and picked it up a couple days later. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Thinking about getting a new range. Do they haul away the old one when they deliver the new appliance?

J Julia 3 months ago

Yes, they do! I just got a new washer and dryer from them, and they took the old ones away for a small fee. Made it super convenient.

C Colin 3 months ago

They usually offer that service. Just make sure to tell them when you're setting up the delivery so they can plan for it. There's a charge, but it's usually less hassle than doing it yourself.

Are there any active promo codes for Olum's right now? Tried looking online but couldn't find anything that works.

J Josh 2 months ago

Olum's doesn't really do promo codes online much. Most of their deals are automatic, like during sales, or store-wide discounts. I'd look for a holiday sale instead of a code.

J James Romero 2 months ago

Yeah, I've never had luck with promo codes for them. It's usually more about their big sales events or financing offers. Best bet is to wait for a holiday weekend.

Do they have a clearance section in their stores, or is it all online? Looking for some deals on accent chairs.

T Troy Kim 2 months ago

Totally! They have a clearance section in their physical stores, sometimes even a dedicated warehouse sale. That's where I found my accent chair, it was a floor model and a great price.

T Tara Brooks 2 months ago

Yeah, I've seen clearance stuff at the Vestal store for sure. Sometimes they have 'scratch and dent' deals too, mostly for appliances though. Good luck!

Is Olum's furniture actually decent quality? Or is it more like Bob's Discount Furniture where you get what you pay for?

T Tom D. 2 months ago

It's generally better than Bob's, in my experience. I'd put it more in line with Raymour & Flanigan, maybe a step below some of their higher-end stuff. My living room set from Olum's has held up really well for years.

It's a mix, I think. Some pieces are really solid, others feel a bit more budget-friendly. You gotta check out the specific item, feel the fabric, test the joints. Definitely not as cheap feeling as some places though.

Hey, I'm looking at a fridge from Olum's but I live in Syracuse. Do they deliver that far out, or is it only super local to their stores?

M Mark Marsh 3 months ago

Yeah, they definitely deliver to Syracuse. My sister got her new washer/dryer set from them last year and lives just outside of Syracuse, they delivered it right to her door.

I Ivy 3 months ago

They cover a pretty wide area in NY, I'm pretty sure Syracuse is good. You can always plug in your zip code on their site, it'll tell you.
